Schyler-Jane Robertson

Hello, my name is Schyler (SKY-LER). I am currently an au pair in Denmark, where I also teach my host children English. I am 25 years old and my plans for the next couple years is to travel, travel, travel! You could very well be apart of my travelling too, virtually. I am an artist. This allows me to bring creativity to my students online and the opportunity to learn English in many different ways. I love communication and I am known to be extremely enthusiastic when I communicate. I have a great history of teaching and tutoring. I was an English teacher in Vietnam before COVID and a private online tutor throughout COVID. I have tutored many different students over the past years and now I happily find myself in Denmark, wanting to help those who are wanting to learn. 

Professionally, I was a TEFL teacher to 22 classes of 6th graders (11 to 12 years of age). This being a total of over 1000 Vietnamese students. I was located in Ho Chi Minh city and here I lived and worked as a teacher and private tutor. I was an evening tutor in South Africa, and here I was set to help with homework and the basic understandings of what is being taught in the lessons. Now I am an au pair with two Danish girls and within 4 months, I have been able to teach them the basics of English, just by daily communication and correction. 

I am currently completing my Bachelors of Social Sciences degree, majoring in Psychology, and hoping to pursue art therapy. I study the basics of socialising and the ways of which we communicate, therefore I am applicable for any online position. I love psychology and the brain, which helps me interpret ways of learning and adapting to the students way of taking in information.
