Kadeem Jahi Evans

I am an American expat and I recently relocated to Sweden/ Denmark (Skåne). 

With a diverse background in graphic design, illustration, and content production, coupled with my deep passion for creating engaging, community-centered artwork, I am excited about the opportunities to contribute to upcoming creative initiatives. 

I have over four years of experience in designing and producing content for both digital and physical media. Currently working as a Creative Artworker at Cambridge Chronicles, I am responsible for transforming innovative concepts into polished, high-quality artwork across multiple platforms, from brochures to digital advertisements. My technical proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite, including Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign, allows me to deliver visually compelling and precise artwork that meets the highest industry standards.

In addition to my technical skills, I have a strong track record of working collaboratively with different community groups and stakeholders. My freelance experience as a digital illustrator has afforded me the opportunity to develop vector illustrations that reflect societal and cultural themes, demonstrating my ability to engage diverse audiences and tell compelling visual stories. I am confident that my ability to bring this same level of creativity, cultural awareness, and precision to projects will contribute to   implementing and fostering different design types for several platforms. 

Currently having completed my MA in Visual Communications and Graphic Design at Cambridge School of Visual and Performing Arts, I am eager to apply my academic knowledge, along with my hands-on experience, to support brands and creative visions. I believe my expertise in project management, community engagement, and design adaptation will make me a valuable asset!

My Key Responsibilities:

• Design Execution: I translate creative ideas and concepts into polished, print-ready artwork using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
• Pre-press and Print Preparation: I prepare files for printing, ensuring correct colour profiles, file formats, and alignment with printing specifications.
• Amendments and Updates: I modify existing designs based on feedback, adjusting colours, fonts, layouts, and other elements as needed.
• Quality Control: I proof and review final artwork to ensure there are no errors and that it meets high-quality standards.
• Collaboration: I work closely with graphic designers, creative directors, and other team members to ensure the final artwork aligns with the overall creative vision and project requirements.
