Eva Maria Olsen

I am a trained medicinal chemist and have a Ph.D. in DNA nanotechnology with a broad background in organic chemistry, pharmacology, biochemistry, molecular biology and DNA nanotechnology. I have worked with the development of medical devices both in development of in vitro diagnostics and with extractables and leachables.  

Throughout my education and career, the common thread has been data processing and analysis. I am in flow and get energy when working with data. Therefore, my main focus is now on data science and I enjoy tinkering with codes and finding overview, structure and value in large datasets. Currently, I am developing my Python skills each week and are enrolled on a Python course with certification. 

I am an energetic and smiling person who easily settles into new working communities. I am structured, think logically and is good at spotting both connections and outliers. Moreover, I am very responsible and is basically very passionate about all work within science.

At Solstens Diagnostics International, I worked as a day-to-day manager and project manager. Solsten is developing the future's quick test platform which must ensure fast, specific and sensitive diagnostics.

• Built up a quality management system (ISO 13485).
• Streamlined the data processing in R and MATLAB .
• Secured documentation throughout the R&D workflow.
• Obtained Proof-of-Technology.
• Worked with the company's strategy, business development, business partners.
• Built a top performance team of specialists and laboratory technicians.
• Secured financing and written and submitted a patent application.

I worked with chemical analysis of medical devices also called extractables and leachables. Ambu was one of the customers. 

Responsibilities/Achievements: 

• Data processing in Excel and MassHunter with I streamlined to save time and reduce mistakes. 
• I optimized the work process with the customers especially within clarification of needs and customer support. 
• I showed great commitment in the business area and my background in organic chemistry was of great benefit to the customers. 
• I quickly acquired the necessary knowledge within standards, analysis methods, materials and customer needs
• Collaborated well with specialists, consultants and laboratory technicians to solve the often complicated and large projects.

Responsibilities/Achievements: 

• Worked in a structured and innovative manner with the development of a biosensor platform for the diagnostics of viruses.
• Participated in all development steps from injection molding to binding studies. 
• Contributed significantly to the establishment of the quality area within documentation and quality control.
• Working day was a mixture of office work and practical laboratory work.

Responsibilities/Achievements: 

• Development of a complicated analytical method with gas chromatography to determine the amount of a by-product.

• Reached the goal with a systematic approach, high professionalism and sparring with colleagues.
