Anabell Reimer Skovgaard

My name is Anabell, I’m 33 years old, married and mother of two children. I live north of Copenhagen in Humlebæk.

Working as cabin crew, have always intrigued me. Perhaps because I have been traveling a lot from an early age. Especially long-distance flights. Being up above the sky, was and is just a natural part of living and I associate it with big excitement and joy.

My whole family is living abroad, and visiting family in countries like Thailand, France, the USA, and Japan has been a part of growing up. This has made me feel quite international and connected with different cultures around the world.

Furthermore, I have a passion for airplanes. When I was just a small girl, my dad always took me to “Flyvergrillen” near the airport in Copenhagen. There we stood ready to see the big Boeings take off right in front of us. That was a big thrill and has kept my love and fascination for aircrafts and flying alive until this day.

Every now and then, when an airplane is flying above me, I get nerdy about the specific airline and where it may be heading to.

I believe that I am a good fit for the job as a cabin crew member, because being caring and attentive towards others comes natural to me. At the same time, I am very hands on and with a practical approach to life.

I also believe that I have a gift in sensing other people and a good intuition, which I think is a benefit working so close with other people. Both in relation to cooperating with colleagues, and in the contact with passengers, that likely come in all kinds of moods and temper.

I have a degree in Nutrition and Health where I have worked as a dietician at a rehabilitation center. My job was to improve the generel health of the patients through personal consultations.

Besides requiring knowledge within physiology and nutrition, it requires just as much knowledge within psychology and pedagogy.

Then I was self-employed, within beauty treatments, which taught me about being responsible, and to always provide a good service and quality for my customers.

Lately, I have worked as a bookkeeper and helped with testing IT systems. This work required precision and the ability to adhere to fixed schedules and plans.

On the personal side I would also say that becoming a mother and having two little tornadoes to keep track of has developed my skills in multitasking, patience, safety awareness, unforeseen events, and very long working hours.

I care about living a healthy lifestyle. I eat a healthy balanced diet, exercise, and enjoy being outdoor in nature.

I am very passionate about scuba-diving, and I hold an advanced level certificate. So when the opportunity for a scuba dive occurs I am the first in line to jump in the water.

My language competences are the following:

I am native in Danish.

My English is good in spoken and written form.

My Swedish and Norwegian is on a basic level in spoken and written form.

My German is on a basic level in spoken form.

I also speak and understand Thai on a basic to intermediate level.
